February 2022
President's Report

Spring is about to come knocking, so let's enjoy February and all that it brings.
Before jumping into our Februrary events, I want to take a moment to acknowledge our Block Kids committee chair, Melinda Garrett. Thanks to her commitment and leadership, our 2022 Block Kids event was a huge success. With over 60 children in attendance, plus student's guardians and siblings, and all the volunteer coordination, she managed what could have been a caotic event like a pro. Thank you, Melinda. You did an amazing job!
A major shout out to our sponsors! Feature Sponsor: Go Build Alabama, Master Builders Sponsor: P&M Mechanical, and Brick Layer Sponsor: Garrett, Perkins & Associates. Without their support we would not have been able to bring this event to the wonderful city of Birmingham.

In April, our chapter will be working with various industry partners to host a Trades Career Fair at Woodlawn High Sch-Magnet.
