ABOUT BLOCK KIDS

The construction industry faces a growing workforce shortage, creating a significant challenge for our nation’s economy. To meet future demand, the industry needs to attract, educate, and train approximately 240,000 new workers each year.

The Block Kids Building Program helps address this challenge by introducing children to the world of construction and inspiring an early interest in the many career opportunities available within the industry.

Sponsored by NAWIC chapters and other organizations, this national building competition encourages students to explore their creativity, develop problem-solving skills, and discover the exciting possibilities of a future in construction.
