Committees
Block Kids Committee
Coordinates and oversees the Chapter’s local competition that introduces children in grades 1 through 6 to the construction industry in an effort to create an awareness of and promote an interest in future careers in the construction industry.
Community Service Committee
Organizes suitable community service projects and events at least twice a year.
Legislative Industry Committee
Provides updates at monthly meetings related to legislation that directly affects the construction industry
Membership-Mentor Committee
Devises ways to increase and maintain membership in NAWIC in conjunction with programs developed by the NAWIC national office and reaches out to new members in conjunction with Directors to help them get involved.
Registration/Hospitality Committee
Arranges catering for monthly meetings, check-in members at meetings, and appointing members to perform invocation and pledge. Orders badges for new members. We need at least two members that are not on the board for this position.
Ways and Means Committee
Organizes industry-related projects to raise revenue for the Chapter, such as TopGolf or Casino Night.
Women in Construction Week (WIC) Committee
Organizes the Chapter’s special events, such as tours of a construction site, proclamation signings, collaboration with other industry organizations and social events, to shine a light on Women in Construction during annual Women in Construction Week.
